High School is full of ups and downs. It’s a roller coaster of experiences and emotions. It’s a time when we begin to figure out who we were truly created to be. We believe in a God who created you and who wants to have a personal relationship with you. Here at HSM at First our passion is to point students towards a lasting relationship with Christ.

SUMMER CAMP at HUME LAKE 2024

REGISTRATION WAITLIST for JHM STUDENTS | REGISTRATION IS CURRENTLY FULL
First Baptist HSM is excited to be going back to Hume Lake again this summer. Our Priority Registration is now open for our HSM students who are consistently a part of either our Sunday or Tuesday night groups (or Wednesday nights if you are an incoming 8th grader) on average about 3-4 times per month.  

Our regular registration for those who are interested will open with a new link Sunday March 17th if we have any more spots available.

Tuesdays & Sundays

TUESDAYS

6:30pm in the gym & youth room

Our goal on Tuesdays is to build relationships with one another through fun games, activities, and gender/age based small groups, as well as grow our relationship with the Lord through relevant Bible-based curriculum and small group discussion.

SUNDAYS

9:45am in the youth room

We gather on Sundays for a student lead worship set and message from the youth staff to focus us on Christ at the beginning of our week.

Curriculum & Content

TUESDAY NIGHTS AT HSM

This year our Freshman class will walk through our Roots Curriculum and will build a foundation in theology. They will learn and discuss who God is, the Trinity, the Bible and more to build a foundation of their Christian faith.

Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors will study the Bible book by book through our Explore the Bible curriculum. Our goals are to know more scripture, break down barriers about how we feel about the Bible, whether we sometimes can find it dated, weird or even offensive by studying it's context, and to live our God's word once we know and understand it better.

Meet Steven Rossi - HSM Pastor

Hey, my name is Steven Rossi and I am blessed to serve as the High School Pastor here at First. Along with my wife Emily, we have been serving in youth ministry for the past 10 plus years. It is my passion to see students authentically connect and engage with both Christ and His Church. If there is any way that I can support and partner with you as parents or families please reach out to me!

Join us Tuesday’s 6:30pm-8pm starting in the Gym, and Sunday mornings at 9:45am in the High School Room (Room next to the gym).
