Advent at First

Advent points to the hope we have in the coming King, born in a manger but we also have the hope of the return of the King Jesus, messiah. In this season of Advent we want to encourage and spur one another towards the hope we have in christ, as we see Christmas by Way of the Manger. Join us Sunday Mornings at 8:30am or 11:00am.

Advent Conspiracy

Reaching Our Community

Each year, our church encourages a collective effort to counter the commercialization of Christmas by generously supporting worthy causes for Jesus worldwide. This year we are not only keeping things local by giving to organizations in this valley, but we are helping other churches in our area as well! In Lodi - Gravity Church that has just taken on ownership of the Access Center next to Salvation Army. In Stockton, CrossTown Church reaching the inner city of Stockton. We will also be partnering with Salvation Army and Family Promise right here, servicing the San Joaquin Valley.

We invite you to join us on this Advent conspiracy journey, not only through generous giving but also by faithfully praying for the global work of God in reclaiming the true Christmas narrative. We believe that the most precious gift we can give and receive each year is the hope of a Savior sent to save all of humanity. Will you journey with us?

THIS YEAR’S PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS

FAMILY PROMISE of San Joaquin County
Sheltering Families Experiencing Homelessness in Jan Joaquin County
Family Promise SJC provides shelter and support to families with children experiencing homelessness through a compassionate, community-driven approach. Families are temporarily hosted by local churches and synagogues, where they receive safe shelter, nourishing meals, and a sense of community. Meanwhile, Family Promise staff work closely with each family to create personalized plans, connecting them to essential resources and services that help them regain stability and secure permanent housing.

Eviction Prevention overview:
Our new eviction prevention program is designed to help at-risk families avoid the crisis of homelessness before it begins. Families facing eviction notices or utility shutoffs may qualify for direct financial assistance to cover rent or pay outstanding bills to PG&E. This support, along with additional resources, helps prevent the trauma of homelessness and the high costs associated with shelter. In 2024, we successfully prevented 28 families from becoming homeless, with an average of $1,450 in assistance per family.

CROSSTOWN CHURCH- Stockton
Crosstown believes every person matters to God, and there’s no problem that Jesus can’t fix.
Crosstown Community Church is located in the heart of Stockton on the corner of Filbert and Poplar. They demonstrate how valuable every person is to God through ministries of radical compassion in their neighborhood to the poor, hurting, addicted, homeless, and victims of crime.    They have been shining the light of Jesus in their neighborhood for 30 years.  Your Advent Conspiracy Gift will help with needed upgrades to the church building as well as help fund the start of an after-school program at the church for Fillmore Elementary Students.

GRAVITY CHURCH/ACCESS CENTER - Lodi
Love With No Limits.
Gravity church was founded in 2009 with the vision of being a church who shared Jesus through Love With No Agenda. Located on Central Ave. in the heart of East Lodi, Gravity has become the launching pad for many other ministries like Katzir, Second Step Living, the Lodi Food Bank, New Family Christian Counseling and Agape Love.  Gravity Church has recently been selected by the city of Lodi to operate the Lodi Access Center providing hope for Lodi’s homeless population with a full service shelter, food and support.

Your gift will help partner with Gravity church in breaking the chains of addiction, homelessness and mental health.

SALVATION ARMY - Lodi

Your donation to Advent Conspiracy will help support the shelter program providing housing and life-changing support for needy families and individuals.

“Think of yourselves the way Christ Jesus thought of himself. He had equal status with God but didn’t think so much of himself that he had to cling to the advantages of that status no matter what. When the time came, he set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of a slave, became human!”

- Philippians 2:5-8 (The Message)
